8/28/08-Moulin Rouge-Baz Luhrmann

Moulin Rouge is a unique story that tries to separate itself from the rest by giving the audience the actual plot before it unfolds. The story is full of meta fiction and Christian's fixation on love. The story was somewhat difficult to understand at the beginning, but around ch 10 in the movie, the plot began to make sense and i did not expect the twists that accommodated with the movie. The subtle hints that were displayed out during ch12 will question whether or not you really need to watch the entire movie, as seeing that the short performance that is giving to the Duke explains the entire plot including death. In the end Moulin Rouge is and ideal story being told through an ideal narrative via the eyes of Christian.
